Sergio Limon was born and raised in South Sacramento.  He attended Valley High School and later went on to College at Sierra Pacific in San Jose Ca.  After College he moved to Ocala Florida where he became the director of a non profit youth program called Strength of the Young!  While serving in Florida Sergio had the opportunity to travel all over the United States and internationally as a youth communicator.  Sergio has been to over 25 different nations speaking to youth and empowering them to make good choices.  Recently Sergio and his family have moved back to Sacramento and he is currently serving as the Project Director for Proud to Wait.  Sergio has recently celebrated his 10 yr wedding anniversary with his wife Tina.  He has 3 children, Sergio Jr, Selena, and Diego.

staff-2CARRIE HARRELL  (PTW SACRAMENTO MANAGER)

Carrie is from a small town in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California called Susanville.  She went to college at California State University, Sacramento and recieved a bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies with a minor in Child Development.  She went on to graduate school at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she recieved  a master’s degree in Missions and Theology.  Her desire is to empower youth to have the best life possible.  When asked why she works with PTW Carrie states; “I work with Proud to Wait! because I believe youth are intelligent and are able to make good decisions when they’re given all the facts.  I want to empower youth to have the best life possible and I believe abstinence until marriage is one way to stay focused and avoid consequences that can alter the course of a person’s life.”  She enjoys cooking, dancing, and hanging out with Her husband, Ben.

staff-3ALFREDO “CHITO” ROSADO (PTW SACRAMENTO INSTRUCTOR)

Alfredo “Chito” Rosado was born and raised in South Sacramento. He attended Valley High school and graduated in 1998. Chito, then went on to pursue his education and received his bachelors degree in Ministerial Studies from Trinity Life Bible College. Chito is the first in his immediate family to graduate from high school and graduate from College! Chito has been working with urban youth since 1997. He enjoys working with young people because he believes in them and knows that they have potential to do great things. Chito loves playing sports (Baseball is his favorite) but he could also break a few ankles if he needs to on the basketball court. Chito loves to spend time with his wife Norma and watch reruns from the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”! Proud To Wait y que !! Shaaaoow!!!

Jack has been an international Motivational Speaker and Hip Hop Artist since 1993.  He has spoken and preformed before thousands of  young people all over the United States.  Jack uses his talent and Music to influence teens to make good decisions as it pertains to being successful in life.  Jack has released a number of CD’s nationally and is known as an excellent rapper. Don’t let the skin tone fool you!!  Jack has recently joined our PTW Sacramento Team and brings with him a great passion to motivate teens. WESTCOAST!!!!!!!!!!

Rebecca Fielding, is from South Sacramento. She graduated from Hiram W. Johnson. Class of 2005! She is currently a Student at Trinity Life Bible College and is majoring in Ministerial Studies. She is the first in her family to receive a high school diploma and will be the first person to receive a college degree!  She loves traveling and will go anywhere outside the states! She has been to India, seen one of the wonders of the world! The Taj Mahal!! Been to Mexico and seen the border…Haha!! Not sure if you would count Taipei, where she only saw the airport.   When asked why she works with PTW she replied, “I love working with young people, sharing life experiences, building up and encouraging! I come from a rough neighborhood and know life is not always the greatest! However, I also know that your past does not have to define who you are!”

Jessica grew up in the city of Inglewood, Ca.  After high school, she went on to study at San Diego State University where she majored in Criminal Justice w/a minor in Sociology. Currently, she is attending Cal State Long Beach and pursing Her Masters in Public Policy & Administration. She has been involved with PTW! since 2007, where she started as an instructor and now she is the Manager for the L.A site.  Her professional and volunteer experience has always advocated for the underprivileged youth, to empower and educate them on making better choices in their lives. Aside, from working towards empowering our youth, she enjoys going to school and learning, reading, dancing, urban & alternative music, eating, laughing, watching movies, and trying new things.

IMG_4271JIMMY GOMEZ  (PTW LOS ANGELES INSTRUCTOR)

Jimmy Gomez is 22 years old and loving life.  He grew up in Alhambra California, which is like 10 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. He  graduated from Alhambra High School in 2004. While attending Alhambra High School He played baseball and was somewhat of a class clown. After High School, He worked at many different places that included selling programs at USC, games, working as a Starbucks barista, working in the parts department at Pep Boys, and being in Charge of the Medical Records department at White Memorial Hospital. Now He is at Proud to Wait and enjoys it because it allows Him to work with teens to help them make better choices in life. Jimmy is a crowd favorite in LA County Schools as he is an excellent youth Communicator.  When Jimmy speaks his heart for young people is felt.  He is an excellent part of our PTW staff in LA.   He also enjoys watching sports and traveling, and Rock Music.

Reuben was born and raised in Pico Rivera, CA.  He attended UCLA majoring in history and a minor in education. For the past two years, he has also worked for the “No Child Left Behind program”, teaching students of all ages the fundamentals of Math and English in and around East Los Angeles. Ultimately, he hopes to be working as a history teacher for his high school alma mater. His goal is to promote teens to focus their time and energy on their studies to ensure they will become successful individuals by pointing out sexual pressures that can severely alter their lives.  He looks forward to continuing to help teens to make healthy choices.

Jake Tirabassi is the program manager for Proud to Wait in Orange County.   He is  a big believer in making a difference by helping one kid at a time and he truly loves the opportunity to invest in future generations.  Jake graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2001 and hold a bachelors degree in speech communications. Jake has spent almost 10 years as a teacher, mentor and coach in Orange County and is excited about being a part of a project that focuses on helping kids get the most out of their life!  Prior to starting at Proud to wait Jake worked in the Santa Ana Unified school district and spent time volunteering and going on missions trips to places like Spain and Uganda.  Jake also is a Soccer Fanatic!

     Aaron Silva is an all around cool dude.  He is a graduate of Irvine High School where he played Varsity Football for the Vaqueros.  He is currently in his 2nd yr of college and working for PTW.  Aaron offers a fresh voice to the youth of Orange county and is always there to be an encourager to anyone who needs it.   He is also known to spit a few rhymes here and there.  Aside from influencing young people Aaron is a avid music listener as well as a rabid Oakland Raider Fan. GO RAIDERSSSS!!!!!

     Audie Estrada worked with PTW as one of our original instructors in 2006.  He has recently returned and is the newest addition to the PTW team in the O.C.  He is married and has three incredible children.  Audie grew up in Orange County, Santa Anna to be exact, and is actually named after Audie Murphy who is the highest decorated soldier in the history of the United States Military.  He is excited about the opportunity to help motivate and inspire young people in anyway he can. He has been working with youth for over 7 years.  When asked why he returned to PTW he was quoted as saying, “Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!!” lol

 Joe Lupercio has been with the PTW program for many years.  He is best known for his incredible heart for the young people of Orange County.  Joe is known as the hardest working man in Abstinence education.   He is always willing to spend extra time after his classes talking with the students and encouraging them to do great things with their lives.  Joe is a gifted youth communicator who when he is not working with PTW spends most of his free time speaking to youth in youth groups, churches and community centers all throughout southern California.  Joe has an incredible story of overcoming his own challenges and today lives in Orange county with his wife and family.
