How Can You Participate?
“We ain’t hatin’ we’re just proud to be waitin’! “ After students have completed our classes many want to continue on with Proud to Wait! Each site has a Youth Leadership component that works with youth ages 12-18 who have either faced challenges or those who want peer and mentor support to help them if and when they do face life challenges. The youth that we work with want something more than to simply conform to the negative peer pressure and media influences in our society. Instead they have future goals and want to stay focused to accomplish the best for their life. Our Youth Leadership groups meet consistently throughout the month in a fun environment and are involved in multiple activities such as community service projects, media projects, presentations, and more.
